Japan new ambassador to Tehran stressed that Tehran-Tokyo cooperation should be expanded.

According to the report of Majlis mass media and information bureau, new Japanese Ambassador to Tehran Kinichi Komano, in a meeting with Iranian head of parliamentary friendship group of Iran-Japan Alaeddin Boroujerdi here on Tuesday, said that Iran has developed greatly in direction of progress and growth in recent years.
He said relations between the two countries are upon historical friendship and mutual confidence and added that in spite of many ups and downs in relations, intention of both leaders have caused a growing trend in ties.
The envoy underlined importance of regional cooperation, especially about Afghanistan crisis, and called for strengthening mutual consultations.
Boroujerdi, for his part, expressed pleasure with growing trend of cooperation and stressed that he hopes to witness practical steps in bilateral friendly cooperation in all fields.
