Foreign Minister Katsuya Okada in a meeting with Foreign Minister
Manouchehr Mottaki here on Tuesday said that his country wants
implementation of Tehran Declaration.

On the sidelines of Kabul International Meeting,
Okada met with Mottaki and underlined necessity of bilateral, multilateral,
regional and international cooperation between Tehran and Tokyo and said that
Japan recognizes the importance of Iran’s role in trilateral negotiations
between Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan as well as Iran, Tajikistan and
Afghanistan.
Referring to consultations and cooperation between Tehran and
Tokyo in the related issues of Afghanistan, including refugees, fight against
drug smuggling, Okada expressed his country's readiness to expand such
cooperation.
Mottaki, by referring to the failed policies in Afghanistan
during the past nine years, called for necessity of reviewing the policies upon
reality and described situation in Afghanistan serious.
He added that we
want to strengthen our consultations in bilateral, multilateral and regional
issues.
Foreign minister Mottaki said that Tehran trilateral declaration
between Brazil, Turkey and Iran can create confident building.
